Distribution of Scitech Surya Solar LED Lamps to villagers of Velhe Taluka, Pune District

 

The formal inauguration function of distribution of Solar LED lamps was held on Monday, 29th October, 2018 at 11.00 am at Shirkai Devi Temple, Shirkoli, Tq. Velhe. The aim of this project is to provide these families with high quality and clean light in the form of these solar lamps.

These lights will help the children from the hamlets to pursue their studies in hassle free manner and the women in their household tasks. The project will genuinely uplift the standard of living of the rural population in high-altitude remote areas and make a dramatic difference in their life, as it not only provides 6-8 hours of free light, with simple operating and recharging procedures but also give them a sense of security during hours of darkness in remote areas.

The project has been liberally supported by Sungard Availability Services (India) Private Limited, Pune through their CSR initiative. Lamps have been produced by Scitech Park incubated company GetMy Solutions Pvt. Ltd. which is provided with SEED funding under Department of Science and Technology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India SEED funding programme.
