Scitech Park, Pune has adopted Panavadi village to transform it into a truly sustainable model smart village. Scitech Park is planning all the activities within the framework of United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, and to improve quality of life & augment natural resources.
Though the village became water surplus in the last 3 years, there was no filtration unit in place for supplying clean safe drinking water to the villagers. To provide reliable and safe drinking water to all the families living in the four hamlets of the Panavadi villages; Scitech Water ATM – Clean and Safe drinking water project was successfully launched on 18th October, 2019 at Panavadi Gaonthan and Bhise Wadi of Panavadi village, Tq. Purandhar, Dist. Pune.
The project was supported by Sungard Availability Services (I) Pvt. Ltd. under their CSR activity. This project would ensure that all the households of the four hamlets of Panavadi would get safe clean drinking water which is extremely important for healthy life of the villagers and proper growth of the children.
The event was graced by Shri. Narayan Hegde, Trustee, Science and technology Park, Pune as the Chief Guest.
