Stereo satellite images are used to create highly accurate Digital Elevation Model (DEM) for an area inaccessible in a short period of time. Generation of DEM helps in better visualization of terrain and features present on the surface of the earth for resource planning and development. The DEM generated was used as the base to further generate contours of 5m and 1m interval. The DEM created was checked for its accuracy, taking DGPS points as the reference.
