Satellite Image Based Temporal Analysis

Satellite image based spectral analysis of two or more time period data has been conducted for different projects to undermine the changes and potentially changing areas especially with respect to increase in built-up area at the cost of vegetation cover and cropland. Striking changes can be observed for urbanization, deforestation and land diversion from agriculture to others.Using high resolution satellite images we are able to quantify the increasing or decreasing trends in terms of area and volume. Such studies have helped in prioritizing developing areas which can further aid in allocation of resources and its planning. On the other end such studies have helped in identifying different categories of area where major structural changes have taken place especially in response to increased tourism and agro-horticultural demands. Such studies related to the environment clearly indicates areas of immediate concern especially the Critically Affected Points.
