We have conducted carpet area based surveys to establish property tax regimes for cantonment board which includes physical door to door survey of all properties. The exercise was conducted by trained professional using Leica Distometer to measure carpet area of properties. The exercise furtherhelped Cantonment Boards to categorize properties based upon their usage type like residential, commercial, residential-cum-commercial, industrial and zones for urban poor, thus enabling Cantonment Boards to plug in tax evasions and bring financial sustainability.
