Science and Technology Park, Pune, supported by Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India; being the Empanelled Training Partner of Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan) , Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Govt. of India had conducted skill training and entrepreneurship development programme for persons with Disabilities under implementation of National Action Plan under SIPDA scheme.

Training programs conducted by Scitech Park for 300 physically handicapped candidates. They were imparted skill training in domestic biometric data operator, sewing machine operator, CRM domestic non-voice, hand embroider and documentation assistant with courses duration ranging from 200 hours to 400 hours awarded by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India under National Action Plan under SIPDA. These training programmes were conducted in Hingoli, Pune, Dhule, Nandurbar and Nasik districts of Maharashtra.

Scitech Park had conducted skill training for 325 persons with disabilities in TV repair technician, Mobile Phone Hardware Repair Technician, Assistant Hair Stylist, Beauty Therapist, Sewing Machine Operator and Dairy Farmer Entrepreneur, awarded by the Ministry of Social Justice & empowerment, Govt. of India. The training programmes were conducted in Thane, Ahmednagar, Palghar, Dhule and Raigad districts of Maharashtra.

Training program is being conducted for 180 Pwds awarded by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India under National Action Plan under SIPDA. They are being imparted skill training in domestic data entry operator, self-employed tailor, sewing machine operator and TV repair technician from districts like Hingoli, Ahmednagar, Thane, Satara and Jalna districts of Maharashtra.

Training programme would be conducted for 840 PwDs awarded by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India under National Action Plan under SIPDA. They will be imparted skill training as sewing machine operator, domestic data entry operator, assistant hair stylist, handset repair engineer (level II), plumber (general), CRM domestic non voice, documentation assistant, assistant beauty therapist, hand embroider and pickle making technician from various backward districts of Maharashtra.
